I worked in collaboration with designer João Doria on applying and extending the existing identity of Aker Solutions into a functional responsive prototype for a brand new akersolutions.com.
Based on the concept "people are the bridge", arising from research into the core users, we executed a design that focused heavily on promoting the Aker Solutions workforce, hiring and promoting the company's projects.
Due to the overlapping design motifs (conceptually tied to bridging gaps) a good deal of robust and reusable modules had to be created that would work fluidly across screen sizes. Was a fun challenge.
A core part of the project was also the "What we do" page. Previously this was quite unfocused, but our concept attempts to combine both navigation to products and services as well as an overview of where they apply in relation to the life cycle of an oil field. This provided an interesting responsive design challenge and I feel gives a good insight for Aker Solution's customers.
